The fact that Twitter is one of the most powerful lead generation platforms, is not hidden anymore. If you haven’t read my last article on the same topic, here it is.

If you keep a few things in mind, it’s easy to generate a whole bunch of leads with your tweets. But that’s not all. There’re so many other ways that you can tap into leads from all possible technologies (if you’re into IT let’s say).

Let’s discuss about how you can reach out to the leads looking for help, rather than you waiting for them to come to you. It’s more fun & effective 🙂

Use the Pro Version of Twitter

Yes, there is one & it’s called Tweetdeck. It might take some time to get used to, but it’s useful & how! Don’t be surprised when I say, it lets you do the work of multiple accounts in one.

It saves time & loads of effort.

Look for the Right Words

There are leads available in literally every field that exists. Your job is to find them. And in order to do that… you got to look for the right words.

And if you’re on Tweetdeck… you have tons of places to look at. Be it topics, particular influencers or even the trending topics, it’s all there.

And whatever generates a bit of interest in you, you can add it as a column on your Tweetdeck account. It’s so easy!

 

Get in Touch

Once you find a bunch of leads who have spoken about their requirements, your first job is to check if you match his need & vice versa.

If everything matches up, you should immediately try to reach out to him via tweets or DM. The idea here is to attract his attention & get a response. Also don’t forget to follow him, so that it’s easy to initiate DMs in case of a positive response.
If it’s your lucky day, you’ll get a response quite like this:

 

Be Courteous

The moment you get a response (both positive & negative), it’s your duty to acknowledge the person from your side.

And there’s a clear green signal from the other end, don’t hesitate to take the next step & exchange contacts. You can share your LinkedIn profile to start with…

And once the conversation begins, bring out the best of your communication & negotiation skills to bring that prospect onboard. If he has come this far with you, he’s certainly interested. So all you need to worry about is how you can help him in what he needs.

This may not be a guaranteed path to generate a lead on Twitter, but it has certainly worked for so many people (including me). And I don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t work for you.

All you need is a bit of patience & loads of dedication.
